WASHINGTON, D.C. – NC State men's basketball graduate guard DJ Horne was named All-ACC Third Team the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
The 2023-24 All-ACC Team was determined by a 75-member panel consisting of the league's 15 head coaches and 60 members of the media.
Horne led NC State in scoring this season, averaging 16.8 points per game. He upped his average to 18.1 points per game in 20 ACC contests. Horne's 18.1 average in ACC play was the fourth-highest scoring average in the conference.
The Raleigh, N.C., native led NC State and ranked fourth in the ACC with 88 three-pointers this season. The 88 three-pointers rank as the eighth-most in a single season for an NC State player.
Horne leads the ACC in three-point field goal percentage, knocking down 42.9 percent of his shots from downtown this season.
Horne had a five-game stretch in February where he scored 25 or more points every game. He's the first NC State player to accomplish the feat since Cat Barber did it in the 2015-16 season. He fell one game shy of being the first ACC player since Duke's JJ Redick in 2006 to score 25 or more points in six consecutive games.
Horne is the fourth NC State guard in the last three seasons to garner All-ACC honors. Dereon Seabron (2022 Second Team), Jarkel Joiner (2023 Second Team) and Terquavion Smith (2023 Second Team) also received All-ACC recognition.
