Hutchins Will Serve as an Assistant Coach for the Wolfpack
RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State men's soccer head coach Marc Hubbard announced the addition of Drew Hutchins to his Wolfpack coaching staff on Monday morning.
Hutchins, who just completed his eighth season as the associate head coach at Cornell, helped lead the team to an overall record of 62-44-12 with four consecutive 10-win seasons, a first in program history.
During those four consecutive 10-win seasons, Hutchins helped the team post a record of 46-18-5 (.703) with an overall best record of 14-4-1 in 2022.
"After an extensive search, Drew has emerged as a person and coach that I believe can do it all, including coaching and developing goalkeepers," Hubbard said. "I have been very impressed with Cornell's consistent success and coupled with Drew's Stanford experience, he understands how to build strong team cultures and turn programs around.
"It is clear that Drew is a personable, smart and driven individual, and I couldn't be more excited to welcome him, Jamie and Theo to the Wolfpack Family."
Prior to arriving at Cornell, Hutchins was a goalkeeper at Stanford from 2010-13 where he played under current Cornell head coach John Smith. He appeared in every game during his senior season, recording five shutouts and posting a 1.13 goals-against average.
Hutchins graduated from Stanford with a bachelor's degree in technology and society in 2014.
After graduating, he helped coach Under-17 and Under-18 boys teams at the Palo Alto Soccer Club alongside Smith.
