RALEIGH, N.C. – Four-star recruit Destiny "Ky'She" Lunan has signed her National Letter of Intent and will join the NC State women's basketball season starting the 2025-26 season. Lunan is the No. 60 ranked player in the ESPNW HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings and No. 1 player out of the state of Arizona.
"We're excited to have Ky'She join the Wolfpack family," said head coach Wes Moore. "Her speed and explosiveness will complement our up-tempo style of play well. Those attributes will also be an asset in the half court where she has the ability to break down defenses and create shots for herself and teammates alike. With her strong work ethic and focus on skill development, we look for Ky'She's game to continue to flourish and grow."
The 5-10 guard is the top-ranked player in the state of Arizona and a four-star recruit by ESPNW. She attends Millennium High School, the same high school as former Pack great Raina Perez (2020-22). As a freshman, Lunan averaged 12.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 3.5 steals per game, and logged 15.0 points, 3.0 steals and 1.8 blocks per game during her sophomore season before being sidelined with injury. She is also a two-time high school champion.
Lunan plays club ball for West Coast Elite, and was regarded as a top stock riser by ESPNW in July. She was invited to the Wooten Top 150 Camp in Las Vegas and selected to play on the Under Armour Association Next Elite 24, while being regarded as one of the top Girls UAA players during the 2024 travel ball season. Lunan was also invited to the Future 60 for the second state back in May and is a two-time She Got Game MVP.
Lunan chose NC State over Virginia Tech, Arizona, West Virginia, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas Tech and others. She joins another top 100 national recruit Adelaide Jernigan in this recruiting class.
