Kacper Stokowski Named ACC Men’s Swimmer of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. – With a first-place finish, a personal best, helping the Wolfpack to two pool records, and a sweep of No. 18 Virginia and UNC, Kacper Stokowski has been named ACC Men's Swimmer of the week, the league announced on Tuesday.
The weekend started with Stokowski leading off the 400-medley relay with a 45.92. The Wolfpack finished with a time of 3:07.89 to break the UVA pool record, which was two seconds faster than the time set by Texas in 2021.
Then Stokowski led off the 400-freestyle relay, setting a personal best with a time of 44.18. The Wolfpack went on to set the pool record with a time of 2:52.05. The record was held by Florida set in 2022 at 2:52.24.
The Warsaw, Poland native placed first in the 100-yard back with a time of 46.02 to close out the weekend.
Stokowski is the third NC State swimmer to take home a conference award this season, joining Luke Miller and Abby Arens, who also earned the award earlier in the season.
Stokowski and the rest of the Wolfpack are back in action on Friday, Jan. 26th, at 5:30 pm as they welcome Texas for a dual meet at the Willis R. Casey Aquatic Center.
