Gray Named ACC Player of the Week

RALEIGH, N.C. – After tallying 181 all-purpose yards and scoring his first career touchdown in the win over VMI, redshirt sophomore Julian Gray has been named the ACC Special Teams Player of the Week.
Gray's first score came in dramatic fashion as he fielded a kick and scampered 82 yards to hit paydirt. It actually marked the second time on the day that he returned a kick for a score, but his 98-yarder earlier in the game was negated due to a penalty.
In addition to his 94 total yards on kickoff returns, he had two receptions for 80 yards and a rush for seven yards, including a 64-yard grab that was the longest catch for a Wolfpack player all season.
Gray leads the ACC and ranks eighth in the FBS with a 33.3 yard per kick return average this season. In 2022, he finished 26th in FBS in kickoff returns, averaging 23.8 yards.
Gray will look to continue his kickoff return success as he and the Wolfpack travel to Charlottesville, VA. for a Friday night matchup with Virginia beginning at 7:30 on ESPN.
