U23 World Team finalized, Trumble officially on roster

RALEIGH NC State wrestler Isaac Trumble is officially on the U23 World Team roster.

The freestyle roster was finalized on Tuesday for the 10 athletes who will head to Tampere, Finland.

The 2023 U23 World Championships will be held at Tampere Ice Stadium, October 23-29. Trumble earned his spot with a runner-up finish at the U.S. Open. During the U.S. Open final Trumble fell to J'Den Cox, a two-time World champion, in the 97 kg finals.

Trumble earned All-ACC honors last season and qualified for the NCAA championships for a second consecutive season. The Springfield, Nebraska native went 21-6 in 2022-23 and 10-3 in dual matches.

At the NCAA championships in March, Trumble went 2-2 overall.

Trumble is the fifth member of the Pack to make a U.S. World Team.
