Wolfpack Finishes Ninth in Winter Directors’ Cup Standings

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State Athletics has finished ninth in the final winter Division I Learfield Directors' Cup standings, the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) announced today. It marks only the third top-10 winter finish in school history and the first time the Pack has finished in the top 10 in back-to-back years.
NC State's winter sports combined for 597 points, led by top-10 NCAA finishes for men's swimming (fifth), women's swimming (fifth), women's indoor track (sixth) and wrestling (10th). The only higher winter finish for NC State was a fifth-place ranking in 2017-18.
The Wolfpack finished 17th in the 2021-22 final standings - the second-highest final finish in school history - and was previously ranked 22nd following the fall portion of the 2022-23 season.
