NC State wrestlers prepare for US Open

RALEIGH Ten current and former NC State wrestlers head west to Las Vegas this week to compete in the US Open Wrestling Championships.

The US Open will take place from April 26-30.

The tournament will determine the roster for the United States in the world team.

Eight members of the 2022-23 ACC Championship team will participate in the Men's Freestyle. All-Americans and former Pack wrestlers Hayden Hidlay and Tariq Wilson will also participate.

Jakob Camacho, who missed the entire season with an injury, returns to action at the US Open. Last season he placed third. Hidlay earned a spot on the World Team a year ago and finished second at the World Championships in October.
