Kai Orine Named ACC Wrestler of the Week

RALEIGH - Wolfpack wrestler, Kai Orine, has been named the ACC Wrestler of the Week on Tuesday, December 5th.Â
The redshirt junior went 5-0 on the week, winning the highly-competitive Cliff Keen Invitational in the 133lb weight class. Across Friday and Saturday he picked up three ranked victories over No. 11 Evan Frost (Iowa State), No. 18 Derrick Cardinal (South Dakota State), and No. 25 Gabe Whisenhunt (Oregon State).
Two of his wins came from major decisions, one being over No. 11 frost in the championship match, while he also secured a technical fall in the second round of the tournament.Â
Orine is currently ranked fifth in the nation at 133lbs by FloWrestling and InterMat.Â
