Trumble ready to roll at U23 World Championships

RALEIGH, NC – NC State's Isaac Trumble is set to earn some world recognition the next couple of days.

Trumble will head to Tirana, Albania for the U23 World Championships.

The World Championships will be held October 23-29. The Springfield, Nebraska native secured his spot with a runner-up finish at the U.S. Open. During the U.S. Open final Trumble fell to J'Den Cox, a two-time World champion, in the 97 kg finals.

"I'm ready to learn a lot," Trumble said. "I know they wrestle a lot differently overseas. I'm trying to get a hold of it right away in that first match and go from there."

Trumble earned All-ACC honors last season and qualified for the NCAA championships for a second consecutive season. The Springfield, Nebraska native went 21-6 in 2022-23 and 10-3 in dual matches.

At the NCAA championships in March, Trumble went 2-2 overall.

Trumble is the fifth member of the Pack to make a U.S. World Team.
