AP Names Wilson to Midseason All-American List

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State linebacker Payton Wilson has added to his growing list of midseason All-America accolades, as he was named to the Associated Press list on Wednesday.

The ACC's leading tackler, Wilson, ranks fourth in the FBS in total tackles with 81, averaging 11.6 per game. He has also been named to the ESPN, PFF, and On3 midseason All-American teams.

The Butkus National Linebacker of the Month for September, Wilson has been the ACC linebacker of the Week three times this season. He has double the tackles of any other Pack player and has led NC State in tackles in all seven games this season.

Wilson, a preseason candidate for the Butkus and Bednarik Awards, has 20 double-figure tackle outputs for his career.
