Three NC State Freshmen Named to USA Swimming Junior National Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Three members of the NC State men's and women's swimming and diving teams were named to the 2022-23 USA Swimming Junior National Team, as announced by the organization on Monday.

Wolfpack freshmen Quintin McCarty, Kennedy Noble, and Kyle Ponsler earned spots on the team for the next season. To be selected to the National Junior Team, athletes were the top two swimmers in their individual Olympic event(s) or the third and fourth-ranked swimmers in the 100 and 200-meter freestyle events.

McCarty -- 50 freestyle, 100 freestyle
Noble -- 200 backstroke
Ponsler -- 400 individual medley
