RALEIGH – The NC State baseball team has scheduled two fall scrimmages in September, hosting the Ontario Blue Jays on Thursday, Sept. 29, at Doak Field at Dail Park before facing Tobacco Road rival Duke on Friday, Sept. 30, at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park.
First pitch for Sept. 29's matchup is to be determined. Admission will be free of charge.
First pitch for NC State's matchup against the Blue Devils is set for 5 p.m. in Durham, North Carolina. Fans can purchase general admission tickets for $10 at the attached link or at the Durham Bulls ticket office.
The Wolfpack is coming off a 36-win season, falling one game short of capturing the Atlantic Coast Conference Tournament Championship. NC State won two games out of three at Duke this past season, earning a 5-3 win and 13-5 victory at Jack Coombs Field.
The Ontario Blue Jays began in 1996 as an alternative option for baseball players in the Toronto area looking to pursue collegiate and professional opportunities. Since 1996, the Ontario Blue Jays have placed over 530 athletes in college baseball, developed more than 120 MLB Draft picks and signings, and produced eight Major League players.
Starting in the fall of 2018, the NCAA allowed Division I baseball teams to play two fall scrimmages against outside opponents without counting against the 56-game spring schedule.
