Nugroho Repeats as ACC Freshman of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Priska Nugroho was named the ACC Freshman of the Week for the second week in a row and the fourth time in the 2022 season, as announced by the league office on Tuesday afternoon.
Nugroho remains the only player in the league to be recognized with an ACC weekly award more than two times during dual match play.
A native of Jakarta, Indonesia, Nugroho went unbeaten in singles matches at Virginia Tech and Virginia. She won both of those contests in straight sets, defeating Dariya Radulova 6-2, 6-0 in the Pack's team win over the Hokies and adding a 7-6 (4), 6-2 victory over 53rd-ranked Eliane Chervinksy of Virginia.
Nugroho's win over Chervinsky marked her fifth over a nationally-ranked opponent this season. The Wolfpack rookie is on a five-match winning streak in singles.
In doubles, Nugroho and partner Sophie Abrams blanked the Virginia Tech duo of Erika Cheng and Chhinda Som to help the Pack win the doubles point in that match.
NC State will play its final two matches of the regular season at home this coming weekend. The Wolfpack welcomes Louisville to the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on Friday, April 15 and will host Notre Dame the next day for Senior Day.
