Lawson to Compete in US Open Doubles Main Draw

RALEIGH - NC State men's tennis volunteer assistant coach Alex Lawson has earned a spot in the main draw of the men's doubles competition in the US Open, as announced by the organization on Sunday.
Lawson currently holds an ATP doubles ranking of 121 and will compete with partner Robert Galloway. The pair took home the doubles title at the ATP Challenger in Segovia, Spain, in July.
The first round of men's doubles action will take place Wednesday, Sept. 1 and Thursday, Sept. 2. The duo's first match will be against Argentina's Federico Coria and Italy's Gianluca Mager with the match date and time still to be announced.
All doubles matches will be available to watch on the ESPN App until the Men's Doubles Final, which will be aired on ESPN2.
