Program-Best Five From Women’s Golf Named WGCA All-American Scholars

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla – Five players from the NC State women's golf team were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), as Isabel Amezcua, Natalie Armbruester, Inja Fric, Ryann Sinclair and Monika Vicario all earned the honor.
The five honors in the 2020-21 season are the most in program history in a single season.
For Vicario, this is the third time she has been named an All-American Scholar, and she is just the second player in program history to earn the distinction three or more times in her career. She recently was named to the All-ACC Academic Team for the second time in her career.
For Armbruester and Fric, this is their second mention in as many years, while this season marks Amezcua and Sinclair's first-ever academic honor.
The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. Players must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50 and have competed in at least 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
