NC State Swimming & Diving Programs Honored as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams

26 members of the Pack honored as individual Scholar All-Americans

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The NC State men's and women's swimming and diving squads were both named Scholar All-America Teams for the Spring 2021 semester, as announced by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA).

Both teams showed tremendous effort both in the pool and in the classroom over this last academic year. The Wolfpack women recorded a 3.72 GPA while placing as runners-up at the NCAA Championships, a program-best national finish. On the men's side, the Pack turned in a 3.39 GPA and finished eighth as a team at the national meet.

"Coach Holloway didn't let a difficult season stand in the way of success," said CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart. "These are some of the best ambassadors of NC State, and Athletic Director Boo Corrigan, Chancellor Woodson and Dr. Joel Pawlak (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be very proud of these men and women."

In addition to the team recognition, 26 members of the Wolfpack teams were named Individual Scholar All-Americans. Between the Wolfpack women and the Pack men, there were 39 Dean's List honorees and 11 student-athletes with perfect 4.0 GPAs.

The Wolfpack has seen one or both of its squads honored as CSCAA Scholar All-America Teams during each of Holloway's 10 seasons at the helm of the program. The award is presented to programs across the nation that achieved a team GPA of 3.0 or higher in the most recent academic semester.

Individuals who were selected as Scholar All-Americans earned a GPA of 3.5 or higher and competed at the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships. The honorable mention selections similarly achieved a GPA of 3.5 or higher and clocked a "B" time standard or competed at an NCAA Zone Diving qualifier.
