Grant Honored with NFF University Scholar-Athlete Award

RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State center Grant Gibson named a recipient of the National Football Foundation's Bill Dooley Chapter 2021 University Scholar-Athlete Award.

Gibson, from Charlotte, N.C., served as a team captain as a junior and ranked as the ninth-best center nationally by Pro Football Focus following the 2020 season. He was named to the 2020 All-ACC Academic team, was the recipient of NC State's Mike Hardy Award (winning attitude) and the Bob Warren Award (integrity and sportsmanship), while also earning the team's Alpha Wolf Award for leadership in the offseason program. He graduated in May of 2021 with a degree in business administration.
