Four Singles Players, Four Doubles Pairs Highlight Season-Ending National Rankings for Wolfpack Women’s Tennis

GREENSBORO, N.C. – NC State women's tennis continued to earn recognition for its historic 2021 campaign as it was well-represented in the final Oracle ITA Singles & Doubles Rankings release of the season. Four players were featured in the national top 100 in singles, and four doubles pairs were ranked in the national top 70.
In singles, Anna Rogers checked in at No. 9, bettering her own record for the highest final singles ranking in program history. Alana Smith (No. 34), Abigail Rencheli (No. 70) and Adriana Reami (No. 94) were also represented.
In doubles, Jaeda Daniel and Reami (No. 8) earned a spot in the national top 10, as did Rogers and Smith (No. 10). Freshman Abigail Rencheli was ranked No. 61 nationally with Lexi Keberle and checked in at No. 70 with fellow rookie Amelia Rajecki.
As previously announced based on their NCAA Championships seeding and their depth in tournament play, four members of the Wolfpack squad garnered All-America status this season. It marks the most in a single season in program history.
Daniel, Reami, Smith and Rogers were all named doubles All-Americans, and Rogers also became a singles All-American for the second time in her career.
Rogers • #9 (Singles)
- 2021 Singles All-American; second time in her career that she has garnered that honor as she was also a singles All-American in 2019
- 2021 First Team All-ACC; first player in team history to be named All-ACC four times in her career
- Made program-best run to the NCAA Singles Championships quarterfinal
- Compiled team-best 22-11 singles record and went 14-10 in dual matches at the No. 1 singles spot
- Reached career-best No. 5 national ranking in 2021
- Posted 14 ranked wins; defeated No. 21 Carolyn Campana of Wake Forest in straight sets for highest ranked win of the season
- Leaving NC State ranked second on the program list in career singles wins (117)
Smith • #34 (Singles)
- 2021 Second Team All-ACC honoree
- Qualified for NCAA Singles Championships for first time in her career, marking first time in program history that NC State had two singles players competing in the tournament
- Posted 18-9 singles record in 2021; put together 16-5 mark playing at the No. 2 spot in dual matches and also tied for team lead with nine wins over ACC opponents
- Nine victories against nationally-ranked foe; defeated No. 19 Cameron Morra of UNC for highest ranked win of the season
- Reached as high as No. 21 nationally in 2021
Rencheli • #70 (Singles)
- Posted 16-5 overall singles record and a 13-4 mark in dual matches; moved up to the No. 5 singles spot in the middle of the season and spent the remainder of the campaign playing there
- Defeated a pair of nationally-ranked foes, with her highest ranked win coming against No. 52 Marta Gonzalez of Georgia to clinch the Pack's NCAA semifinals berth
- Earned first singles ranking of career on April 14 and was ranked in every poll since
- Tied for team lead with nine singles victories during ACC play, which ranks third in program history
- Went unbeaten in first NCAA Championships action of her career, completing wins in the Pack's team victories against No. 36 Iowa State, No. 35 USC and No. 3 Georgia
Reami • #84 (Singles)
- 2021 Third Team All-ACC honoree
- Program's winningest singles player with 127 career victories; became first Wolfpack player to surpass 100 career wins last season
- Posted 19-10 singles record this season; primarily played at the No. 3 spot in dual matches where she posted a 15-5 record
- Defeated three nationally-ranked opponents, with her highest ranked win coming against No. 21 Meg Kowalski of Georgia in the NCAA Championship quarterfinals
- Won four of five matches that she finished during postseason play
- Tied for team lead with nine singles victories during ACC play
Daniel & Reami • #8 (Doubles)
- 2021 Doubles All-Americans, first such honors of their careers and first time that NC State had multiple doubles pairs honored in a single season
- Reached Round of 16 at the NCAA Doubles Championships after earning a top eight seed into the draw
- Went 25-6 in total; played at the No. 2 doubles spot and went 16-4 in dual matches in 2021
- Picked up wins against seven pairs that were ranked; highest ranked victory of the year was against No. 21 Gia Cohen and Ava Hrastar of Georgia Tech
- Ended the season by winning eight of their last nine completed matches
- Reami leaves NC State ranked second in career doubles wins with 94
Rogers & Smith • #10 (Doubles)
- 2021 Doubles All-Americans, marking third-straight season that the duo has been honored
- Bettered own program-best NCAA Doubles Championships run by reaching the national semifinals
- Posted 26-10 record as a duo, with those 26 single-season doubles wins ranking as a top 10 mark in team history even in a shortened season
- Played at the No. 1 doubles spot in dual matches and posted a 17-6 record in team competition
- Defeated 10 nationally-ranked opponents; five of those wins were against top 15 duos; highest ranked wins of the season were both against pairs ranked No. 6 at the time of competition
- Posted an 89-21 (.809) overall record as a duo over the last three seasons of playing together
- Rogers is the winningest doubles player in ACC history (157 career wins), with Smith ranking third in program history (91 career wins)
Keberle & Rencheli • #61 (Doubles)

Posted 3-2 record in winter matches prior to the start of 2021 dual match play
Rajecki & Rencheli • #70 (Doubles)
- Posted 13-3 record as a duo, which included a 12-2 mark in dual matches playing at No. 3 doubles
- Earned first ranking as duo on April 14 and have been featured in every release since
- Went on 12-match winning streak in doubles near the end of the season; loss in the NCAA Championships semifinal match was their first loss since February 26
- Tied for team lead with nine victories against ACC opponents in 2021; lost just one time in league play as rookies in one of the best conferences in the nation
- Defeated two nationally-ranked opponents
Those players played roles in helping the 2021 NC State women's tennis squad to new heights. The team reached the semifinals of the NCAA Championships, its deepest postseason run in program history, and secured the best season-ending national ranking in program history at No. 6. In total, the Wolfpack compiled a 20-6 record as a team and spent the entire season ranked in the national top 15.
