Aislinn Konig Signs Training Camp Contract with WNBA’s Washington Mystics

WASHINGTON, D.C. – NC State women's basketball alumna Aislinn Konig has signed a training camp contract with the WNBA's Washington Mystics.
After graduating from NC State in May 2020, Konig has spent the last few months playing for BCF Elfic Fribourg in Switzerland. She averaged 21.4 points, 3.6 assists and 2.4 steals per game, and she shot 48.3 percent (84-of-174) from long range. Konig was Fribourg's leading scorer and helped her team to a perfect 18-0 record on its way to claiming the SBL Cup.
Konig also played a large role in the Wolfpack's success during the 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19 and 2019-20 campaigns. She rounded out her career by being named 2020 ACC Tournament MVP after averaging 16.7 points in three Wolfpack victories. She was also a Second Team All-ACC honoree in 2020.
In her entire NC State career, Konig played in 120 games, earned 99 starts and averaged 10.1 points and 3.1 assists per game. She took ownership of the program record for single-season threes made (93) and also ended her career in sole possession of second in program history with 294 made threes in four seasons.
