Lulu Guttenberger Named To TopDrawerSoccer’s Team Of The Week

RALEIGH – NC State women's soccer's Lulu Guttenberger was named to TopDrawerSoccer's Team of the Week on Tuesday following a stellar defensive performance in the Wolfpack's 2-0 victory at No. 22 South Florida on Sunday afternoon in the NCAA First Round.
She is the fourth NC State player to earn a national award from the publication this season.
The defender helped her team pick up its sixth shutout win of the season and advance out of the NCAA First Round for the fifth consecutive fall season. It was the Wolfpack's 11th matchup this year against a team that is ranked or receiving votes for the national polls and was its fourth win/draw against a top 25 team.
She completed 92 percent of her passes (information via InStat) and won all six of her challenges against the Bulls.
NC State is set to face No. 10 Pepperdine in Tallahassee, Fla., Friday in the NCAA Second Round. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. at the Seminole Soccer Complex, as ACC for Florida State will host the second and third rounds of the tournament.
