#14 Rifle Wraps Up Fall Schedule Against #9 Navy, #1 Alaska Fairbanks

RALEIGH – No. 14 NC State rifle wraps up its fall portion of the 2021-22 schedule this weekend as the Pack will face No. 9 Navy and No. 1 Alaska Fairbanks in Annapolis, Md.
The Wolfpack opens the final fall weekend taking on Navy on Friday before closing the slate with a Saturday matchup against Alaska Fairbanks.
SCOUTING NAVY
Navy is coming off a second-place finish at the President's Trophy Match on Nov. 6, facing Air Force, Army and the Coast Guard. Navy racked up a program record 4,689, three points shy of first place Air Force.
SCOUTING ALASKA FAIRBANKS
Alaska is coming off back-to-back wins over The Citadel on Oct. 30 & 31 to improve to 5-0 on the season. On Oct. 30, the Nanooks set a program record in aggregate score as the team won 4737-4389. In the weekend finale, Alaska took down The Citadel, 4736-4593.
LAST TIME OUT
No. 14 NC State came up short on the road against No. 8 Ohio State, 4691-4664 on Sunday. The Pack (1-3) tallied a season high smallbore total of 2304 and an air rifle total of 2360 while the Buckeyes recorded a 2329 smallbore and 2362 air rifle score.
Katie Tedeschi paced the Wolfpack with a sixth overall individual finish as she fired a season-high 583 smallbore to go along with a 592 air rifle score for an aggregate total of 1175. Following behind Tedeschi was Ben Salas who shot a 580 smallbore and a 591 air rifle to give him an 1171 aggregate score, good enough for eighth-best in the match.
