RALEIGH – The NC State women's golf team has released its competition schedule for the 2021 spring season, as announced by head coach Page Marsh on Thursday. The schedule features six regular-season tournaments, including one home event, and the Wolfpack will make trips to Florida, South Carolina and Virginia.
Following protocols established by the Atlantic Coast Conference, NC State and the other ACC programs did not compete in team events during the traditional fall period.
The Wolfpack kicks off its slate at the UCF Challenge Jan. 31 to Feb. 2 in Orlando, Fla., then travels back to the Sunshine State the following week for the Heroes Ladies Intercollegiate, hosted by Purdue in Sarasota from Feb. 7-9.
NC State will next travel to South Carolina for a pair of events hosted by College of Charleston - the Palmetto Intercollegiate (Feb. 21-22) in Kiawah Island and the Briar's Creek Invitational (March 15-16) in Johns Island.
On March 20, the team will host a Big Four Match Play event at Lonnie Poole Golf Club, as it will welcome Duke, North Carolina and Wake Forest to Raleigh. The day will consist of semifinal matches in the morning with final and consolation matches in the afternoon.
The Pack will wrap up its regular season schedule April 6-7 when it makes the trip to Charlottesville, Va., to take part in Virginia's Cavalier Match Play event. The event consists of two matches the first day and one match on the last day.
The 2021 ACC Championship will be held April 15-18 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C., and has a new format. There will be 54 holes of stroke play over the first three days, and the top four teams from stroke play will compete in match play on the final day for the tournament title.
The NCAA Regional Championship will run May 10-12 at select campus sites, while the NCAA Championship will take place May 21-26 at Grayhawk Golf Club, hosted by Arizona State in Scottsdale, Ariz.
