Pack Closes Out Regular Season with 23-13 Win Over Georgia Tech

NC State notches a program record seventh ACC win on the season
RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State led from start to finish, and concluded its regular season with a 23-13 win over visiting Georgia Tech at Carter-Finley Stadium.

NC State notched its seventh ACC of the season, the most for a Pack team in school history. The Pack also closed the season with four consecutive wins.

The lone points in the first quarter came from a 41-yard field goal from Christopher Dunn.

Both offenses got it in gear in the second quarter, as three straight drives resulted in TDs.

On the first play of the second quarter, RB Ricky Person, Jr., ran it in from 20 yards out to cap a 4-play, 45-yard drive.

The Yellow Jackets answered on the ensuing drive, capped with a 34-yard rushing TD.

NC State answered their answer, going 88 yards in six plays with RB Zonovan Knight getting a rushing TD for his fifth straight game, this from five yards out.

Dunn added his second field goal of the game, a 20-yarder with 3:53 left in the second quarter to make the halftime score 20-7 in favor of NC State.

A Georgia Tech 26-yard field goal in the third quarter, and a 22-yarder on the second play of the fourth quarter made the score 20-13.

The Pack added an insurance field goal late, a 39-yarder from Dunn with 3:31 left for the final points.
