NC State Athletics Launches Pledge as Part of its Sustainable Wolfpack Initiative

RALEIGH, N.C. - NC State Athletics announces its Sustainable Wolfpack initiative as it strives to be a national leader for innovative practices in sports sustainability.
Wolfpack fans will be able to learn more about the athletic department's goals, campus, and corporate partnerships, along with the game day programs to work towards zero waste at athletics events by visiting our new Sustainable Wolfpack website.
As part of this initiative, Wolfpack Nation can get involved by taking the Sustainable Wolfpack Pledge. Â
Fans can help in creating a positive impact on waste reduction, energy conservation and the overall health and wellness of our planet by taking action at home, at work and while watching the Wolfpack play.
Fans that participate in the pledge will have a chance to win prizes courtesy of our corporate and campus partners: GFL Environmental, Lowes Foods, POWERHOME Solar, OfficeMart.com, NC Clean Energy Technology Center and Waste Reduction and Recycling.

This Saturday night under the Carter-Finley Stadium lights, the Wolfpack will host Florida State at 7:30 p.m. The ACC contest will serve as the Pack's Homecoming and also the Sustainable Wolfpack game.

Throughout the week on @PackAthletics social channels and on game day, fans will get tips from our corporate partners on ways to be more sustainable and those attending the game can continue to make an impact inside Carter-Finley Stadium by recycling and composting.Â
