Clairmonte Named ACC Women’s Performer of the Week

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Redshirt senior Dominique Clairmonte has been named ACC Women's Performer of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Wednesday.
The laurels are the first of Clairmonte's career and her second recognition of the week as she was named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women's National Athlete of the Week on Oct. 13.
Both honors came after a standout performance at the Wolfpack Invite, where Clairmonte ran a 5K time of 16:56.4. The redshirt senior completed the race well ahead of her competitors, crossing the finish line approximately seven seconds before the second-place finisher and over 30 seconds ahead of the third-place runner.
