Clairmonte Honored as USTFCCCA Cross Country Women's National Athlete of the Week

NEW ORLEANS, LA. - Redshirt senior Dominique Clairmonte has been named the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Women's National Athlete of the Week, as announced by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday.
Clairmonte took home the individual crown at the Wolfpack Invite, running the 5K in 16:56.4. The Lexington, Ohio native completed the race with a solid lead, finishing seven seconds ahead Wolfpack teammate Hannah Steelman (17:03.1) and more than 30 seconds ahead of the third-place finisher.
The laurels mark the first time in Clairmonte's career that she has won the weekly honor.
