Seven #PackPros on NFL Playoff Rosters

Thuney and Wilson both named to All-Pro second-team
RALEIGH, N.C. – Seven former NC State football players will take part in the upcoming NFL postseason which start this weekend.

A pair of former players are on the New England Patriots, while another pair are with the San Francisco 49ers.

For his fourth straight season in the NFL, Joe Thuney has started all 16 games for the New England Patriots and will be in the playoffs for the fourth straight season as well. Thuney was just named to the All-Pro second-team. WR Jakobi Meyers made the squad as an undrafted free agent, and had 26 catches for 359 yards while playing in 15 games. New England is the #3 seed in the AFC and will host Tennessee Saturday at 8:15 p.m.

The 49ers are the #1 seed in the NFC and will have a bye this weekend after claiming the NFC West title with a 13-3 record. After missing his rookie season last year, Kentavius Street made his season debut in Week 15 to add depth to the defensive line. Former Pack DB Dontae Johnson was signed on Dec. 11 for his second stint of the season in San Francisco after he was drafted by the team back in 2014.

In his eighth season as the starting QB in Seattle, Russell Wilson is leading the Seahawks into the playoffs for the seventh time. He was also named second-team All-Pro. Wilson was sixth in the NFL this season with 4,110 passing yards and third with 31 passing TDs. Seattle is the #5 seed, and begins their playoff run Sunday at 4:40 p.m. in Philadelphia.

After being a first round draft choice this past spring, Garrett Bradbury has started every game at center for the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota claimed the #6 seed in the NFC, and will travel to New Orleans Sunday at 1:05 p.m.

PK Stephen Hauschka is in his third season with the Buffalo Bills, and he helped them earn their only their second playoff birth since 1999. In the season, Hauschka has made 22-of-28 field goal attempts with a season long of 51 yards. The Bills got the #5 seed and will travel to Houston Saturday at 4:35 p.m.
