Stewart Garners ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Coleman Stewart has been named ACC Men's Swimmer of the Week, as announced by the league office Tuesday. The selection comes after he set a pool record in the No. 7 men's swimming and diving team's sixth consecutive dual meet win over No. 17 Virginia.
Stewart set a new 100-yard backstroke pool record at the University of Virginia Aquatic Center with a 45.65 clip. The All-American found the wall over two seconds ahead of the rest of the field.
The senior swept all four events he competed in: 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard backstroke, 200-yard medley relay and 400-yard freestyle relay.
Stewart tied Nyls Korstanje as the men's team-leader in scoring.
The No. 7/3 NC State men's and women's swimming and diving teams are back in action on Sat., Feb. 1 at No. 25/NR Virginia Tech. Events are set to kick off at 11 a.m.
