Rogers Garners ACC Player of the Week Honors

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Anna Rogers has been named ACC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after an impressive weekend, as announced by the conference on Tuesday. The junior went undefeated (3-0) in singles play.

The announcement marks the second time Rogers has garnered the award this season.

On court one, Rogers faced three ranked opponents, winning all matches in straight sets as NC State picked up victories against No. 22 Wake Forest and Winthrop and fell to No. 13 Florida State.

She has posted a 29-10 record this season, including a 19-4 record in dual season.

Rogers is currently on an 11-match winning streak with wins over six ranked opponents during the stretch. In her past four singles matches, the Stamford, Conn., native has faced four ranked opponents, needing only straight sets to claim victory.

She has totaled 16 ranked singles wins this season.

In doubles, Rogers and Alana Smith, the ninth-ranked doubles duo in the nation, defeated No. 46 Emmanuelle Salas Ana Oparenovic (Florida State) for their 10th ranked doubles win of the season.
