Pack Remains Tabbed at No. 9, Ties Program-Best Ranking

TEMPE, Ariz. – The NC State women's tennis team remains ranked 9th in the nation in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I rankings, tying last week's No. 9 ranking for the best in program history.
The team boasts a 22-5 record this season and holds an 11-3 record in ACC play. The team's 22 wins and 11 wins in their respective categories are both program records.
The team has collected 10 ranked wins this season at the time of competition. Eight of those wins have come against ACC opponents.
Individually, four players have collected 10+ ACC singles wins (Bianca Moldovan, Adriana Reami, Amanda Rebol, Alana Smith).
The team finished tied for third in ACC play, and will compete as the No. 4 seed in the ACC Tournament on Friday, April 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Cary Tennis Park against an opponent to be determined by the first two rounds of play.
For the first time since 1998, the team defeated Georgia Tech on Sunday, 4-3. The win marks the first time since 1995 that the Pack took down the Yellow Jackets at Georgia Tech.
Anna Rogers checks in at No. 10 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I rankings. The junior has played the entire 2019 season on court one and holds a 19-6 record in dual season. The Stamford, Conn., native has collected 16 ranked singles wins so far this season.
Freshman Alana Smith earned the highest ranking in her young career, tabbed at No. 68. Smith went undefeated in singles play last week (2-0), including a victory over Duke's No. 32 Kelly Chen.
Rogers and Smith continue to stay in the top 10 of the doubles rankings. The 10th-ranked duo has earned 11 ranked doubles wins this season and has posted 29 wins (29-5).
