Senior guard will compete in 67-year old tournament in front of scouts from all 30 NBA teams
NC State senior guard Torin Dorn was announced Monday as one of the 64 players selected to compete in the Portsmouth Invitational.
The Portsmouth Invitational is in its 67th year and is a four-day, 12-game tournament played in front of representatives from every NBA team and numerous international leagues. The best 64 college basketball players that just completed their final year of eligibility are invited to attend.
This year's Portsmouth Invitational will run from Wednesday, April 17 to Saturday, April 20.
Dorn led NC State in scoring (14.0) and rebounding (7.2) as a senior in helping lead the Pack to a 24-12 record. He closed his collegiate career with a career-high 34 points in the Pack's NIT quarterfinals game against Lipscomb.
He leaves NC State ranked 33rd on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,267 points and 14th on the career offensive rebounding list with 189.
