RALEIGH – Three players from the NC State women's soccer team have been featured on TopDrawerSoccer's Top 100 Player lists. Tziarra King and Ricci Walkling landed on the publication's final Top 100 Player list at No. 15 and 62, respectively, while Jameese Joseph finished 23rd on its final Top 100 Freshman list.
This is the fourth time in as many years King has been named to one of TopDrawerSoccer's end-of-season lists, and it is Walkling's third mention in her four-year career.
This is King's 10th award of the season for her stellar play on the field and/or success in the classroom. She was recently named a Scholar All-American by United Soccer Coaches and CoSIDA, the program's first player to ever earn the award from multiple publications, and earned a spot on TopDrawerSoccer's Best XI Second Team.
She was also named an All-American by United Soccer Coaches this month, the program's first in 24 years, and collected All-ACC and all-region awards for the fourth consecutive year.
King wrapped up her career with 88 starts, 48 goals and 115 points, and ranks third all-time in the Wolfpack record books in all three categories. She remained among the top three in the ACC and top 35 in the NCAA this season in goals (13) and points (32) en route to becoming the second four-time All-ACC selection in the history of the program behind Staples Bryan (1992-95).
Walkling, who was also a 2019 All-ACC selection, finished the year with 23 starts, two goals and 10 assists. She finished sixth in the conference in assists and seventh all-time at NC State with 27 assists and 86 starts in her career.
Joseph was the only freshman to start all 23 matches this year, and this is the third postseason award of her career after recently earning ACC All-Freshman and United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team accolades. She scored three goals, two of which were game winners, and had three assists.
All three players were critical in the Wolfpack's fifth-place finish in the ACC, second ACC Championship semifinal appearance in three years and run to the Sweet Sixteen for the third time in the past four years.
