Torrence comes to the Wolfpack from Calhan, Colo., where she has been a member of multiple Colorado State Grand Champion teams over several years. Torrence automatically qualified for the National Junior Olympics three of the last four years and recorded a second-place finish at the 2019 State Junior Olympics. In 2019, Torrence was the Colorado 4-H Grand Champion in Olympic Offhand and Four Position Air Rifle as well as Three Position Smallbore.
"We are thrilled to announce the commitment of Katie Torrence to our 2020 class," said Holsopple. "She brings a competitive spirit and passion for improvement to the team that is hard to find in recruits. Katie loves shooting competitions from 4H matches to international style, which has given her a broad range of experience that will surely be to her benefit in the NCAA circuit. She adds to an already strong recruiting class that will give our roster depth we need. We look forward to having Katie as part of the Pack!"
Torrence is homeschooled, loves and go-cart racing and is a sixth-generation Coloradoan. She volunteers with the kindergarten class at her local elementary school every week in addition to being a member of the Elbert County Comanche Creek 4-H Club.
