TEMPE, Ariz. -- The NC State women's tennis team is tabbed at No. 14 in the latest Oracle/ITA Division I Rankings, the highest ranking in program history. The program's previous highest ranking was 16th in 2017. Today's ranking marks the first time the team has been ranked in the poll this season. The Pack is 4-0 on the season for the first time since 2015.
Â
In singles, the Pack has two players featured: No. 23 Anna Rogers and No. 111 Alana Smith. Rogers and Smith are also the 20th-ranked doubles duo, along with 37th-ranked Adriana Reami and Amanda Rebol.
NC State was also featured at No. 19 in the Tennis Channel/USTA College Tennis Top 25 Poll, the first of the spring season, on Wednesday.
The NC State women's tennis team defeated 11th-ranked Florida, 4-3, on Monday at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend to earn a bid to the ITA Division I National Team Indoor Championship in Seattle, Wash., for the first time in school history. The win marks only the fourth time in 20 years that the Gators have lost at home. The team returns home to take on No. 20 Texas Tech at 2p.m. and Campbell at 7p.m. in a doubleheader at the J.W. Isenhour Tennis Center on Feb. 1.
