Â
Junior Nolan Clenney earned his first win in a Wolfpack uniform, as he threw 3.1 hitless innings in relief. Furman's starting pitcher Matt Lazzaro was charged with the loss and moves to 0-1.

Avent's Additions
"It's hard to swing the bats so well this early in the season," said head coach Elliott Avent. "We've had a couple of injuries and I'm proud of the guys that have stepped up for us. Vazquez played good today coming in for Will Wilson and he had a big RBI early in the game, then he hit the two-run homer later in the game.
Â
"J.T. Jarrett filling in for Stephen Pitarra has been great defensively for us and has had some key at-bats. Dillon Cooper continues to play very consistently for us. I thought Jack Conley caught a great game today and had a couple good at-bats. Everybody knows that Kinneman, McLain, and Deatherage have been hot but there were some other guys that have stepped up for us recently that have been really positive for our team."Â
Â
