RALEIGH, N.C. - The Football Writers Association of America has announced that Wolfpack center Garrett Bradbury is one of eight semifinalists for the 2018 Outland Trophy. The Outland Trophy has been given annually to college football's most outstanding interior lineman since 1946.
 Â
Bradbury, a graduate student from Charlotte, has played all but four offensive snaps for NC State in 2018 – his second year playing center. In those 679 snaps, he has not allowed a sack and has just allowed two quarterback pressures on 348 pass attempts.
Â
After coming to NC State as a tight end, Bradbury played a brief stint on the defensive line before moving to offense. He started at left guard in 2016 before taking over as center last season. He is also an Academic All-ACC performer, as well as an Academic All-District honoree.
Â
The three finalists for the award will be named on Tuesday, Nov. 20 and the 2018 Outland Trophy will be presented at The Home Depot College Football Awards in Atlanta on Thursday, Dec. 6.
