Doeren Named to Bryant Award Watch List

RALEIGH, N.C. - Wolfpack head coach Dave Doeren has been named to the watch list for the American Heart Association (AHA) Paul "Bear" Bryant Coach of the Year Award Watch List. Earlier this week, he was named to the list for the Dodd Coach of the Year Trophy as well.

Doeren is one of 20 candidates for the award, which is now in its 33rd year recognizing the country's top college football coaches for their contributions both on and off the field. The Coach of the Year Award is the only college coaching honor selected after all bowl games are concluded and is voted on by the National Sports Media Association.

Under Doeren's guidance, the Wolfpack has jumped out to a 5-0 start and ranked No. 16 in the Associated Press poll and No. 15 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. NC State is one of just eight undefeated teams remaining in the FBS, one of five from the Power 5.
