Chubb Nominated for Lombardi Award

HOUSTON – NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb, a senior in 2017, has been named as one of 21 nominees for the 2017 Lombardi Award.
The award is presented to an NCAA Division 1 player of any position based on performance, leadership, character and resiliency. The presentation takes place in Houston at Lone Star College on Sat., Jan. 27 and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
Along with winning the Bronko Nagurski (nation's best defensive player) and Ted Hendricks (nation's best defensive end) awards, Chubb was a consensus first-team All-American, garnering honors from Walter Camp, the AFCA, the Associated Press, Sporting News, Sports Illustrated and the Football Writer's Association of America. He also set new program career records for the Wolfpack in sacks and tackles for loss in 2018.
