#PackCamp Profiles Practice 12: Safeties

RALEIGH- After a closed scrimmage on Saturday, the NC State football team began its final week of camp on Monday morning in a hard-hitting two-hour session.
After 13 practices, combined with lifting, meetings and everything else that is part of camp, it is only natural that fatigue would begin to set in. However, the demeanor of safeties coach Aaron Henry told a completely different story, as his vibrancy and hunger clearly set an example for not only the safeties, but the entire team.

Given it is Henry's first season as part of the NC State coaching staff, camp here has been a new experience for him along with freshmen and transfers.
"My first camp has been good so far. I just have to continue to push the safeties and make practice as productive as possible!"

Henry has been pleased with the safeties effort and attitude thus far, and will look to keep bettering them each day in practice. As a returning starter, Shawn Boone is a known entity, but Dexter Wright and have also impressed throughout camp as expected, as has sophomore Tim Kidd-Glass. Transfer Stephen Griffin has shown that the future is bright as he will have two years to play after sitting out the 2017 campaign.
"They are doing well, we are a constant work in progress," Henry said. "I'm trying to continue to push them to be the complete football player and you can't do that without being a smarter football player and understanding situational football. All in all, we are getting a little better every day!"

Along with his positive experience at camp, Henry has also enjoyed being part of the NC State community in his short time here.
"NC State has been great thus far. I'm pretty easy to please, I just need football, my faith and family!"
Be sure to check back tomorrow, as we give a closer look at the tight ends.
