RALEIGH, N.C. – NC State safety Josh Jones was selected in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers. Jones was the 61st pick overall.

He is the highest Wolfpack selection since 2013 (David Amerson – 2nd Round) and is also the first Wolfpack safety drafted since 2013 (Earl Wolff – Philadelphia).

Jones was named a 2016 honorable mention All-ACC performer after his redshirt-junior season. He was the Wolfpack's leading tackler with 109 stops, the ninth-best mark in the ACC and the most for a Wolfpack player since 2012. He also finished his Wolfpack career with eight interceptions.
