Men’s & Women’s Swimming & Diving Moves Up in National Rankings

Men ranked No. 5 and women ranked No. 12 in CSCAA poll

RALEIGH, N.C. – The NC State swimming and diving team has moved up in the national polls, as the men's team checks in at No. 5 and the women's squad sits at No. 12 in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) rankings, released Wednesday morning.
The men earned 261 votes to move up from No. 6 to No. 5 while the women received 167 votes to advance from No. 13 to No. 12.
Indiana sits atop the men's poll with 324 votes and Stanford remains the No. 1 women's team with 300 votes.
Strength of the ACC
Once again, several ACC teams were featured prominently in the top 25. On the men's side, there was No. 17 Louisville, No. 18 Florida State, No. 22 North Carolina, No. 23 Virginia and No. 24 Virginia Tech while Georgia Tech also received votes.
Among the women's top 25 there was No. 10 Louisville, No. 16 Virginia and No. 21 North Carolina while Virginia Tech, Florida State and Duke received votes.
