GREENSBORO, N.C. – Three members of the No. 24 NC State women's soccer team collected postseason honors from the Atlantic Coast Conference on Thursday morning, as Tziarra King and Ricci Walkling garnered All-ACC Team honors and Lulu Guttenberger was named to the ACC All-Freshman Team.
King, the team's leader in goals (14) and points (34), collected All-ACC First Team honors. Among the conference she ranks first in points and second in goals, goals per game (.74) and points per game (1.79). The sophomore midfielder currently ranks ninth in NC State's record book for most goals (14) and points (34) in a single season, and has moved into the top 10 of the latest NCAA rankings, ranking sixth in points and seventh in goals. It marks the third postseason honor of her career as she was named to the All-ACC Third Team and ACC All-Freshman Team last year.
Walkling, who was named to the All-ACC Third Team, has recorded four goals and three assists this season to rank second on the team with 11 points. Three of her tallies have been game-winners and is fifth among the ACC in the category.
Guttenberger has played an instrumental role in the Wolfpack's backfield, as she has logged a team-high 1,691 minutes and tallied an assist in the team's 1-0 win over Boston College. She has also received national praise as she was ranked 31st on Top Drawer Soccer's Mid-Season Top-100 Freshmen list.
