Senior guard earns first such honor of her career

GREENSBORO – Miah Spencer of the No. 23 NC State women's basketball team (12-3, 2-0 ACC) has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
Spencer had a very impressive week for the Wolfpack in wins over No. 2/2 Notre Dame and No. 6/7 Florida State. The senior guard averaged 14.5 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per game during the victories. She shot 10-18 (.556) from the field, 2-3 (.667) from distance, and 7-9 (.778) from the free throw line.

Spencer earns the honor one day after teammate Dominique Wilson was named the College Sports Madness ACC Player of the week for her 18-point performance in the win over Notre Dame.
NC State returns to action at home against No. 14/14 Miami on Thursday evening. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. from Kay Yow Court inside Reynolds Coliseum.
