Jack Named ACC Wrestler of the Week for Third Time

#2 Jack earned decisive win over #3 Ward of UNC, 10-4

GREENSBORO, N.C. - NC State junior Kevin Jack (Danbury, Connecticut) was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Wrestler of the Week Tuesday after defeating North Carolina's Joey Ward and helping lead a 19-11 Wolfpack dual match victory Monday night.

Jack, the nation's second-ranked wrestler at 141 pounds, scored a 10-4 decision over Ward, who is ranked third nationally by InterMat, in the final match of the night. The win was Jack's 21st consecutive in a streak which dates back to last November 19th, the eighth-longest such streak in NC State history. The win for Jack was his fifth against Top 10 opposition and his third win against foes ranked in the top five.

The honor for Jack is his third ACC Wrestler of the Week award this year. Previously, he was honored as co-Wrestler of the Week on December 13 and January 3.
