NC State baseball dropped game two on Saturday at Louisville
LOUISVILLE, KY. - No. 10 NC State baseball lost 4-2 to No. 5 Louisville on Saturday at Jim Patterson Stadium.
The Wolfpack (32-16, 13-11 ACC) fell behind in the fifth on a leadoff single, sac bunt, and RBI single to center. Louisville (41-10, 18-8) added to the rally with three two-out RBI singles in a row, stretching the lead to 4-0. In the seventh, NC State managed to trim the lead in half on RBIs from Evan Mendoza and Joe Dunand. The Pack's best opportunity to grab the lead came in the eighth, when a towering Chance Shepard drive to the track in left center with two runners aboard stayed in the park. Cardinal closer Zack Burdi fanned the side in the ninth to set the final 4-2.
