No. 10 NC State Rifle Set for SEARC 6 at The Citadel

Wolfpack looks to remain unbeaten in the SEARC
RALEIGH, N.C. – The 10th-ranked NC State rifle team will head to Charleston, S.C., this weekend for the sixth South Eastern Air Rifle Conference (SEARC) match hosted by The Citadel. The action is slated to begin at 8 a.m. Sunday morning inside the Inuoye Marksmanship Center.

The Wolfpack enters the weekend red-hot, as the squad has fired two of the program's best scores in the previous two matches. NC State currently owns an 18-3 overall record and 13-0 mark in the SEARC.

In its last outing, the Pack defeated previously No. 10 Army by a score of 4653 – 4641. NC State also took down No. 3 Kentucky last weekend with a program-record score of 4665. As a result of the top-10 wins, the Pack moved up in the rankings from No. 12 to No. 10 in this week's poll.

Wolfpack shooters fired a total of 17 personal-best scores last weekend in West Point, N.Y., at Army's rifle facility.

Sunday's trip to The Citadel will be the second of the season for NC State, as the squad also traveled to the Bulldogs for SEARC 3 when the Wolfpack finished first with a score of 4636.
