State Starters: Fullbacks & Tight Ends

RALEIGH, N.C. - With just 10 days left until NC State's season opener versus Troy, the depth chart is beginning to take shape. For the next several days, we'll be releasing the depth chart position by position.

FULLBACKS and TIGHT ENDS

The Wolfpack returns a solid group at tight end and fullback, with two of the surest pairs of hands on the team.

The versatile Jaylen Samuels averaged 11.4 yards every time he touched the ball last season as a true freshman, while tight end David J. Grinnage was the team's third-leading receiver and tied for the team lead in touchdown receptions. Cole Cook started two games as a true freshman and has had an excellent fall camp, while Benson Browne, who holds two degrees from NC State, has continued to improved as a blocker and pass catcher.
