TURN UP! Trea Turner's MLB Debut

The Washington Nationals promoted NC State shortstop Trea Turner to the majors Friday, according to the team's official twitter account.
The first Brooks Wallace Award winner in Wolfpack history, and 13th-overall pick of the 2014 MLB Draft, Turner joins fellow three-time All-American Carlos Rodon as the second player from State's 2011 recruiting class to make his MLB debut this season.
Turner signed professionally following his junior season after setting the Pack's all-time stolen base record. This summer, Turner featured prominently in the MLB All-Star Weekend Futures Game, contributing a double and a triple in his two at-bats.
