RALEIGH, N.C. - Want a chance to see the 2015 Wolfpack football squad in action more than a month before the season kickoff and donate to a worthy cause? Come out to the NC State football squad's fundraising event for Uplifting Athletes on July 22!
The Wolfpack chapter of Uplifting Athletes will continue its mission of raising awareness and research dollars for leukemia by holding an open workout on Wednesday, July 22 at 7:15 p.m. at the Dail Practice Complex on Westchase Boulevard.
Admission is free, but fans are asked to consider a minimum donation of $1 per person as they enter the gate.
Following the 45 minute workout, members of the team will stay around to speak with fans and take photos.
Founded in 2011, the NC State chapter chose its rare disease to champion when former offensive coordinator Dana Bible was diagnosed with Acute Promyelocytic Leukemia, a rare cancer of the blood.
NC State has broken down its 2015 fundraising efforts into seven position groups and the group that raises the most money will be rewarded with an ice cream sundae night during fall camp.
In order to support the NC State Chapter and help the Wolfpack reach their $5,000 Lift For Life goal, visit the NC State Chapter fundraising site at give.upliftingathletes.org/ncstatelift2015.

"We are really excited about this year's event," said sophomore tight end Cole Cook, one of the Pack's chapter leaders. "Our team is committed to community service and this will give us an opportunity to raise money for a good cause, and give our great fans a chance to see what we do during the summer."
